Trolls is a 2016 American computer-animated jukebox musical comedy film based on the "Good Luck Trolls" toys created by Thomas Dam and released as the 33rd animated film by DreamWorks Animation. During its production, DreamWorks Animation entered a co-licensing agreement with the owners of the Good Luck Trolls and became joint owners of the licensing alongside Dam Things and its current owner Niel Dam. The film is the first movie made by DreamWorks that is part of the "Good Luck Trolls" property
