Trainer Dale Schmitt reported the mare, which was first up today, will be improved by the performance however indicated he will restrict Gold Manukas racing programme to outside the metro program for its next start.

Oracle SonRider Thomas Stockdale reported the gelding felt uncomfortable in its action when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality other than the gelding lost the left fore plate. Trainer Phillip Stokes advised the gelding will now be spelled.

Dont Hope DoUnderwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers and was found to have sustained a right fore tendon injury. Acting on veterinary advice Stewards ordered the late scratching of the gelding at 3.58pm. A veterinary clearance is required prior to being permitted to race again.

Lovely LookinBegan awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 400m was checked after being awkwardly placed on the heels of Shesallshenanigans, which had been steadied at this stage. Approaching the 100m was eased when weakening to avoid the heels of Diamond Decorator, which commenced to weaken and shifted out slightly. Rider Craig Newitt could offer no explanation for the performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.

British AngelSlow to begin. Approaching the 800m was hampered when eased to avoid the heels of Icarus, which had been taken out by Bons To Riches, which had shifted out and away from Diamond Decorator.
